Achieving your fitness and weight loss goals can be daunting but it doesn’t have to be this way.

Having studied nutrition in depth for over 10 years I have gained great insight into what works and what doesn’t.

Nutrition boiled down is simple so don’t get caught up in the latest fad or supplement as long term they will not work. This list is no exhaustive but a stepping stone to a new you in 2017.

 

  1. Don’t focus on weight loss. FOCUS ON FAT LOSS

Fat loss is what you want so put the scales away and get some High intensity interval training into your life.

  1. Focus on eating good quality nutritious foods

 

Quality of the produce is more important than looking at the calories. If you can’t pronounce it, it should probably not be in there.

 

  1. Drink plenty of water

This cleanses the body and helps flush out toxins.

 

  1. Minimise any sugar free, or sugary drinks

Axe the sugary drinks, but also avoid sugar free as these still create an insulin response. A client of mine had great results just by ditching the diet coke.

  1. Get moving

Get of the couch and move that body of yours, it’s a fantastic piece of equipment, use it.

  1. Lemon water for breakfast

 

A great way to start the day alkalising your body and setting you up for success.

 

  1. Go and exercise with a friend

Having someone there motivates you to succeed. If your friends are not interested join a fitness group as these are fab for motivation.
